Content Management System (CMS)

Like their name implies, content management systems allow you to manage large amounts of website content within an easy-to-use browser-based interface. This means that you can use a form right in your browser to add, edit, and delete web pages for your website. View content management system website samples.

CMSs are generally used for sites with many pages, but can be used for sites with as few as one page. You and your site's users can search for pages based on a word or phrase, and you'll be able to edit the page's content using an in-the-browser editor that works much like a word processor. Want to sell things? Look here.

When you use a CMS, you (or anyone you give the password to) will always be able to make instant edits from any internet-connected computer.
